Surfing the right spots

How can we navigate the news and find reliable information when 97% of global media is controlled by only 5 or 6 companies?
How can you trust a news-site on the internet, when there are so much disinformation and misunderstanding floating around?

I do not have a clear answer to this, besides that you can turn off your TV, burn the newspapers and get on the internet (oh, you are already here... Good!)
What we do is look for links and sources.
Every news story has a source, but is the source an opinion? an incident? a corporate press-release? Politicians? Statements?
But most of all: Is it accurate and gives you insight to understand the issues?

It takes a long time to find accurate news sources that you can trust, since you sometimes have to wait a couple of years to see how things turn out before you know if its accurate and trustworthy. Most people do not have the time or interest to do this.
I have therefore decided to give you a list of the news sources that I have found to be rock solid and on the spot, not just when things happen, but also many years ahead.
I hope these sites will help you get a better understanding about what's going on, just like they have helped me stay ahead of the game and dissect the mainstream news as the game evolves.
(you can find more links to useful news-sites in the sidebar to the right)

The Center for Research on Globalisation

Information Clearing House
Once again, as above.... Please support them, they are being threatened to shut up and are struggling to survive economically.
