Not only does the dead and buried Osama hate us for our freedoms, he also hates us because we have not prevented climate change. “Osama bin Laden, the leader of Al Qaeda, blamed the United States and developed countries for not halting climate change and said that the global economy should immediately abandon its reliance on the American dollar, according to an audiotape released Friday by the broadcaster Al Jazeera,” reports The New York Times.
Osama sounds a lot like Al Gore. “Talk about climate change is not an ideological luxury but a reality. All of the industrialized countries, especially the big ones, bear responsibility for the global warming crisis.”
As usual, the authenticity of the tape could not be immediately confirmed, and Al Jazeera did not say how it had obtained the message.
The audio is more evidence the CIA and the Pentagon, with the assistance of the corporate media, are trying to resurrect the Osama and al-Qaeda myth as the government increases its presence in Afghanistan, steps up attacks in Pakistan, and launches a new front in the bogus GWOT in Yemen.
The Osama as tree hugger audio is the second from the dead terror leader and CIA asset in a week. On Sunday, the dead Osama claimed responsibility for the ludicrous Christmas day underwear non-bombing that was obviously a black op. “Mr. bin Laden, who is believed to be hiding in Pakistan near the Afghanistan border and has issued several other audiotaped anti-West invectives, had not put one out in four months before the one about the Detroit attempted bombing,” reported the New York Times.
Osama increasingly sounds like a foundation progressive. In the latest audio he praises Noam Chomsky, gripes about the United States not signing the Kyoto Protocol, complains about globalization and monetary policy, and calls for a worldwide boycott of American goods and the dollar.
“Noam Chomsky was correct when he compared the U.S. policies to those of the Mafia,” Al Jazeera quoted the dead terrorist as saying. “They are the true terrorists and therefore we should refrain from dealing in the U.S. dollar and should try to get rid of this currency as early as possible.”
Now establishment editorialists and bloggers have a convenient touchstone for their tirades against “conspiracy theorists” who criticize the Federal Reserve, fiat currency and the banksters. Comparisons between Osama and Ron Paul will likely be forthcoming in the days ahead.

The Al Qaeda leader spoke in a new audiotape aired in part on Al Jazeera television today.
In the tape, bin Laden warns of the threat presented by global warming – but he also offered a solution.
‘Talk about climate change is not an ideological luxury but a reality,’ he said.
‘All of the industrialised countries, especially the big ones, bear responsibility for the global warming crisis.’
He added that while wealthy nations had agreed to the Kyoto Protocol that binds them to emission targets, former U.S. President George W Bush had later rejected such limitations before Congress in deference to big business.
The United States never ratified the existing Kyoto Protocol, whose present commitments expire in 2012, and has said it will not sign up to an extended Kyoto Protocol, preferring a new agreement.
Bin Laden’s solution, then, to preventing temperatures from rising?
‘Bring the wheels of the American economy’ to a halt, he apparently said.
He said the world should ’stop consuming American products’ and ‘refrain from using the dollar’, according to a transcript on Al Jazeera’s Web site.
‘It is necessary for us to avoid doing business in the dollar, and to finish with it in the fastest possible time,’ bin Laden said on the brief tape…
COMMENT: Not personally sure about “Bride No. 5″ al-Sadah’s story, but it seems to conveniently timed with increased focus on Yemen as the latest front in the War on Terror. So why is it emerging now, as “Bin Laden” takes credit for the attempted Underwear Bombing, craftily tied to Yemen as well. Anti-Christ figure Bin Laden even has a new child that was supposedly timed with the 9/11 attacks. At any rate, nothing can be believed about Bin Laden, his whereabouts and his personal life when they are caught faking Bin Laden tapes and arranging them within politically-expedient timeframes.
‘I found bin Laden bride No. 5 as he planned 9/11′
IBB (YEMEN): When Osama bin Laden decided to marry for the fifth time, he turned to his most trusted advisers to find him a bride.
He wanted a Yemeni girl, he told them. The marriage would cement his relationship with Yemen, his billionaire father’s home. Sheikh Rashad Ismael, a Yemeni aide, took up the challenge. “She had to be religious, obedient, generous, well brought-up, quiet, calm and young enough not to feel jealous of the sheikh’s (bin Laden’s) other wives,” he giggled. “Multiple wives tend to vie for attention out of jealousy and end up in catfights, and bin Laden did not want his new wife to get into such issues.”
The aide, also called Abual-Fida, knew just the girl in his home town of Ibb in Yemen. It was a year before the 9/11 attacks when he approached her family. He says he believed Amal al-Sadah, a civil servant’s daughter, aged 18, would make the perfect wife for the al-Qaida leader, who was 43.
“Even at her young age she was religious and spiritual enough and believed in the things that bin Laden — a very religious, pious and spiritual man — believed in,” he said.
Not only does the government want to see your naked body in full, living color, they also want to read your mind. “A would-be terrorist tries to board a plane, bent on mass murder. As he walks through a security checkpoint, fidgeting and glancing around, a network of high-tech machines analyzes his body language and reads his mind,” reports the Associated Press.
What would your reaction be if you saw a big blow-up of this image on a wall at the airport?
An Israeli company is developing a system that matches high technology up with and behavioral psychology. It’s called WeCU, short for “We See You” (the same way Big Brother sees you). It projects images on a wall and monitors reactions of people. “If you strolled through an airport and saw a picture of your mother, Givon explained, you couldn’t help but respond.” Or if you were a terrorist, the logic goes, you’d respond to a terror group logo or other familiar imagery. The reaction to these images could be a darting of the eyes, an increased heartbeat, a nervous twitch or faster breathing, said company CEO Ehud Givon.
If the system observes suspicious behavior, a person is detained and interrogated. “One by one, you can screen out from the flow of people those with specific malicious intent,” Givon said.
Okay, now the problems begin to arise. We are told the underwear bomber and the shoe bomber and a number of other would-be bombers (all of them in fact false flag patsies) are from al-Qaeda, an organization without formal structure and no branding or logo (unlike Hezbollah or Hamas). The only readily identifiable image associated with al-Qaeda is the face of the late Osama bin Laden.
If a large photo of Osama was plastered on the wall at the airport, what would your reaction be? You’d certainly dart your eyes. You may even stand there with your mouth open. You’d likely get special treatment by TSA goons.
How about a lie detector test? The Ministry of Homeland Security has actually proposed this. “One system being studied by Homeland Security is called the Future Attribute Screening Technology, or FAST, and works like a souped-up polygraph,” reports the Associated Press. “It would subject people pulled aside for additional screening to a battery of tests, including scans of facial movements and pupil dilation, for signs of deception. Small platforms similar to the balancing boards used in the Nintendo Wii would help detect fidgeting.”
FAST project manager Robert Burns said the system could be made to work passively, scanning people as they walk through a security line.
How many false positives such a harebrained idea would produce is not addressed.
U.S. officials are considering the Israeli model for airport security. Israel practices profiling. “At Ben-Gurion Airport, Jewish Israelis typically pass through smoothly, while others may be taken aside for closer interrogation or even strip searches.” In other words, if you are an Arab or a Palestinian, you will be strip searched and be subjected to body cavity searches.
Imagine the predictable result of this: thousands of people who look like Arabs pulled aside with the ultimate result of producing chaos in airport operation. Don’t count on the dim bulbs hired by the TSA to be capable of telling the difference between Arabs and Mexicans.
This idea, however, thrills the neocons. Blogger and concentration camp apologist Michelle Malkin went on Fox News the other day and said Arabs should be profiled and get the same sort of treatment Arabs endure in Israel.
Finally, the Cato Institute believes airport security should be privatized. Jim Harper, director of information policy at Cato, “concedes that privatizing airport security is probably wishful thinking, and the idea has not gotten any traction.”
Of course it has not gained any traction. Because the idea is not to catch supposed terrorists (who are demonstrably false flag patsies) but is rather part of a government effort to condition the public that it is normal (even patriotic) to submit to unreasonable, dangerous, and invasive “security” measures. Airports are incubators for tyranny and the emerging police state. It has nothing to do with your safety and security. It’s all about conditioning you to submit to government.
Pakistan’s Taliban has claimed responsibility for a deadly suicide bombing at a CIA camp in the eastern Khost province of Afghanistan. On Wednesday, a suicide bomber waltzed into the CIA’s Camp Chaman and killed himself and eight CIA employees. Two of the agents were contractors employed by Xe, formerly known as Blackwater.
The CIA has promised the attack “will be avenged through aggressive counterterror operations,” according to the New York Daily News. “People at Langley are galvanized.”
On Thursday, CIA drones flew into Pakistan and hit targets in warlord Jalaluddin Haqqani’s territory. Haqqani was supported by the CIA back in the 1980s when the CIA organized and funded the Afghan Mujihadeen in a successful effort to force the Soviets out of the country. After “everything changed” on 9/11, Haqqani refused CIA overtures and sided with his old pal, the late CIA asset Osama bin Laden.
In the past year, CIA drones have killed Haqqani’s relatives and it is speculated he is responsible for the deadly attack on the CIA operation at Camp Chapman, a former Soviet airbase. The base is named after Green Beret Nathan Chapman, who was fighting alongside the CIA when he became the first U.S. soldier killed in the U.S. invasion of Afghanistan.
Following the attack, Obama called the dead CIA agents “brave Americans [who] were part of a long line of patriots who have made great sacrifices for their fellow citizens, and for our way of life.”
The United States would not be able to maintain the freedom and security that we cherish without decades of service from the dedicated men and women of the CIA. You have helped us understand the world as it is, and taken great risks to protect our country. You have served in the shadows, and your sacrifices have sometimes been unknown to your fellow citizens, your friends, and even your families.
The “service” Obama spoke of has resulted in numerous brutal dictatorships and murderous covert operations around the world — from the coup against the democratically elected leader of Iran to sponsoring the overthrow of the democratically elected leader Jacobo Arbenz in Guatemala and beyond. The CIA has sponsored coups and mass murder campaigns in the Dominican Republic, Indonesia, Chile, Cambodia, El Salvador, and many other countries.
Under the direction of future CIA director and Wall Street lawyer Allen Dulles, the OSS worked closely with the Nazi General Reinhard Gehlen and his intelligence organization after the Second World War. “Gehlen was far from the only Nazi war criminal employed by the CIA. Others included Klaus Barbie (”the Butcher of Lyon”), Otto von Bolschwing (the Holocaust mastermind who worked closely with Eichmann) and, SS Colonel Otto Skorzeny (a great favorite of Hitler’s). There’s even evidence that Martin Bormann, Hitler’s second-in-command at the end of the war, faked his own death and escaped to Latin America, where he worked with CIA-linked groups,” writes Mark Zepezauer in his classic, The CIAs Greatest Hits.
The CIA worked with fascists in Italy and organized a secret paramilitary army with hidden stockpiles of weapons and explosives. Called Operation Gladio, the pretense of this operation was to prevent communism in Europe (i.e., subverting democratic elections). Gladio was often directed by former SS officers. “Leftist organizations like the Red Brigades were infiltrated, financed and / or created, and the resulting acts of terrorism, like the assassination of Italy’s premier in 1978 and the bombing of the railway station in Bologna in 1980,” writes Zepezauer. The existence of Gladio was confirmed by none other than Giulio Andreotti, the Italian PM.
John Stockwell: How 6 million People Were killed in CIA secret wars against third world countries.
The CIA is the world’s premier drug cartel. Beginning at the end of the Second World War, it worked closely with the Corsican Mafia, at the time one of the biggest heroin traffickers in the world. The CIA’s involvement in the global drug business — conducted in the name of bankers and Wall Street (the CIA was the brainchild of Wall Street lawyer Frank Wisner) — is a well-documented fact. A direct link between cocaine trafficking and the CIA mercenary army the Contras was established by senator John Kerry’s commission in 1989. “In my 30-year history in the Drug Enforcement Administration and related agencies, the major targets of my investigations almost invariably turned out to be working for the CIA,” Dennis Dayle, former chief of an elite DEA enforcement unit, has stated. The agency established drug operations in Southeast Asia and Afghanistan.
Not only did the CIA build-up the illegal drug business, it also created crooked banks to launder its profits, specifically the Bank of Credit and Commerce International. “Throughout its entire history, the CIA has set up an elaborate shell game of ‘proprietaries’ (front companies), money-laundering operations and off-the-books projects so complex that no outsider — and few insiders — could ever keep track of them. BCCI was neither the first nor the last of these,” explains Zepezauer. BCCI was not only involved in laundering drug money, but also financing gun running, bribing government officials and influencing policies around the world, activity revealed during a Senate committee in October, 1991.
Deputy Director Frank Wisner proudly referred to the CIA’s worldwide propaganda machine as “the mighty Wurlitzer.” The CIA owns countless newspapers and magazines world-over. Watergate journalist Carl Bernstein revealed that over 400 US journalists had been employed by the CIA. These ranged from freelancers who were paid for regular debriefings, to actual CIA officers who worked under deep cover. Nearly every major US news organization has had operatives on the payroll, usually with the cooperation of top management, under the CIA’s Operation Mockingbird. Wisner recruited Philip Graham, publisher of The Washington Post, to run the project within the industry (this is why I call The Washington Post the CIA’s favorite newspaper).
In regard to Afghanistan and the recent suicide bombing that killed eight CIA employees, this is yet another example of legendary blowback the agency on occasion experiences as a result of its skullduggery and consistent premeditated violence. The CIA recruited, armed, funded, and directed the Afghan Mujahideen, so it is fair to say this latest violence was self-inflicted. “Besides tossing billions of dollars into the conflict, the CIA transferred sensitive weapons technology to fanatical Muslim extremists, with consequences that will haunt the US for years to come,” writes Zepezauer.
The CIA groomed Osama bin Laden and other Mujahideen warriors with the enthusiastic participation of Pakistan’s ISI, or Inter-Services Intelligence. Bin Laden’s rag-tag group would later be called “al-Qaeda” by the government and the Mockingbird corporate media.
Working with the ISI, the CIA also created the Taliban. These medieval fanatics were the favored sons of Washington and multinational corporations until their over-the-top fanaticism conflicted with corporate designs in the region.
Obama’s disgusting characterization of CIA agents recruiting cutthroats and patsies in U.S.-occupied Afghanistan as patriots is truly Orwellian. It should come as no surprise that “turncoats” (as the corporate media calls them) would attack their former collaborators and paymasters, especially considering the CIA’s penchant for turning on its own and recruiting psychopaths and mental deficients.
Eight years of uncertainty over the whereabouts of Osama bin Laden’s closest family members has been blown open by a relative’s admission that they are living in a secret compound in Iran.
One of the terror mastermind’s wives, six of his children and 11 of his grandchildren are living in a high-security compound outside Tehran.
It exposes as false the repeated denials by the country’s government that members of the family were living in Iran.
Omar Ossama bin Laden, the fourth-eldest of Osama’s sons, claims he was unaware of his brothers and sisters’ location, or even whether they were still alive, until they phoned him in November.

In the interview, Sibel says that the US maintained ‘intimate relations’ with Bin Laden, and the Taliban, “all the way until that day of September 11.”
These ‘intimate relations’ included using Bin Laden for ‘operations’ in Central Asia, including Xinjiang, China. These ‘operations’ involved using al Qaeda and the Taliban in the same manner “as we did during the Afghan and Soviet conflict,” that is, fighting ‘enemies’ via proxies.
As Sibel has previously described, and as she reiterates in this latest interview, this process involved using Turkey (with assistance from ‘actors from Pakistan, and Afghanistan and Saudi Arabia’) as a proxy, which in turn used Bin Laden and the Taliban and others as a proxy terrorist army.
Control of Central Asia
The goals of the American ’statesmen’ directing these activities included control of Central Asia’s vast energy supplies and new markets for military products.
The Americans had a problem, though. They needed to keep their fingerprints off these operations to avoid a) popular revolt in Central Asia ( Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan), and b) serious repercussions from China and Russia. They found an ingenious solution: Use their puppet-state Turkey as a proxy, and appeal to both pan-Turkic and pan-Islam sensibilities.
Turkey, a NATO ally, has a lot more credibility in the region than the US and, with the history of the Ottoman Empire, could appeal to pan-Turkic dreams of a wider sphere of influence. The majority of the Central Asian population shares the same heritage, language and religion as the Turks.
In turn, the Turks used the Taliban and al Qaeda, appealing to their dreams of a pan-Islamic caliphate (Presumably. Or maybe the Turks/US just paid very well.)
This started more than a decade-long illegal, covert operation in Central Asia by a small group in the US intent on furthering the oil industry and the Military Industrial Complex, using Turkish operatives, Saudi partners and Pakistani allies, furthering this objective in the name of Islam.
Uighurs
Sibel was recently asked to write about the recent situation with the Uighurs in Xinjiang, but shedeclined, apart from saying that “our fingerprint is all over it.”
Of course, Sibel isn’t the first or only person to recognize any of this. Eric Margolis, one of the best reporters in the West on matters of Central Asia, stated that the Uighurs in the training camps in Afghanistan up to 2001:
“were being trained by Bin Laden to go and fight the communist Chinese in Xinjiang, and this was not only with the knowledge, but with the support of the CIA, because they thought they might use them if war ever broke out with China.”
And also that:
“Afghanistan was not a hotbed of terrorism, these were commando groups, guerrilla groups, being trained for specific purposes in Central Asia.”
“That illustrates Henry Kissinger’s bon mot that the only thing more dangerous than being America’s enemy is being an ally, because these people were paid by the CIA, they were armed by the US, these Chinese Muslims from Xinjiang, the most-Western province.
The CIA was going to use them in the event of a war with China, or just to raise hell there, and they were trained and supported out of Afghanistan, some of them with Osama Bin Laden’s collaboration. The Americans were up to their ears with this.”
Rogues Gallery
Last year, Sibel came up with a brilliant idea to expose some of the criminal activity that she is forbidden to speak about: she published eighteen photos, titled “Sibel Edmonds’ State Secrets Privilege Gallery,” of people involved the operations that she has been trying to expose. One of those people isAnwar Yusuf Turani, the so-called ‘President-in-exile’ of East Turkistan (Xinjiang). This so-called ‘government-in-exile’ was ‘established‘ on Capitol Hill in September, 2004, drawing a sharp rebukefrom China.
Also featured in Sibel’s Rogues Gallery was ‘former’ spook Graham Fuller, who was instrumental in the establishment of Turani’s ‘government-in-exile’ of East Turkistan. Fuller has written extensively on Xinjiang, and his “Xinjiang Project” for Rand Corp is apparently the blueprint for Turani’s government-in-exile. Sibel has openly stated her contempt for Mr. Fuller.
Susurluk
The Turkish establishment has a long history of mingling matters of state with terrorism, drug trafficking and other criminal activity, best exemplified by the 1996 Susurluk incident which exposed the so-called Deep State.
Sibel states that “a few main Susurluk actors also ended up in Chicago where they centered ‘certain’ aspects of their operations (Especially East Turkistan-Uighurs).”
One of the main Deep State actors,Mehmet Eymur, former Chief of Counter-Terrorism for Turkey’s intelligence agency, the MIT, features inSibel’s Rogues Gallery. Eymur was given exile in the US. Another member of Sibel’sgallery, Marc Grossman was Ambassador to Turkey at the time that the Susurluk incident exposed the Deep State. He was recalled shortly after, prior to the end of his assignment, as was Grossman’s underling, Major Douglas Dickerson, who later tried to recruit Sibel into the spying ring.
The modus operandi of the Susurluk gang is the same as the activities that Sibel describes as taking place in Central Asia, the only difference is that this activity was exposed in Turkey a decade ago, whereas the organs of the state in the US, including the corporate media, have successfully suppressed this story.
Chechnya, Albania & Kosovo
Central Asia is not the only place where American foreign policy makers have shared interests with Bin Laden. Consider the war in Chechnya. As I documented here, Richard Perle and Stephen Solarz (both in Sibel’s gallery) joined other leading neocon luminaries such as Elliott Abrams, Kenneth Adelman, Frank Gaffney, Michael Ledeen, James Woolsey, and Morton Abramowitz in a group called theAmerican Committee for Peace in Chechnya (ACPC). For his part, Bin Laden donated $25 million to the cause, as well as numerous fighters, and technical expertise, establishing training camps.
US interests also converged with those of al-Qaeda in Kosovo and Albania.
Of course, it is not uncommon for circumstances to arise where ‘the enemy of my enemy is my friend.’ On the other hand, in a transparent democracy, we expect a full accounting of the circumstances leading up to a tragic event like 9/11. The 9/11 Commission was supposed to provide exactly that.
State Secrets
Sibel has famously been dubbed the most gagged woman in America, having the State Secrets Privilege imposed on her twice. Her 3.5 hour testimony to the 9/11 Commission has been entirely suppressed, reduced to a single footnote which refers readers to her classified testimony.
In the interview, she says that the information that was classified in her case specifically identifies that the US was using Bin Laden and the Taliban in Central Asia, including Xinjiang. In the interview, Sibel reiterates that when invoking the gag orders, the US government claims that it is protecting ” ’sensitive diplomatic relations,’ protecting Turkey, protecting Israel, protecting Pakistan, protecting Saudi Arabia…” This is no doubt partially true, but it is also true that they are protecting themselves too, and it is a crime in the US to use classification and secrecy to cover up crimes.
I have information about things that our government has lied to us about… those things can be proven as lies, very easily, based on the information they classified in my case, because we did carry very intimate relationship with these people, and it involves Central Asia, all the way up to September 11.
Summary
The bombshell here is obviously that certain people in the US were using Bin Laden up to September 11, 2001.
It is important to understand why: the US outsourced terror operations to al Qaeda and the Taliban for many years, promoting the Islamization of Central Asia in an attempt to personally profit off military sales as well as oil and gas concessions.
The silence by the US government on these matters is deafening. So, too, is the blowback.
Recent revelations concerning the U.S. importing Taliban members into Iraq to foster false flag terrorism is merely the tip of the iceberg when compared to the U.S. intelligence complex’s multi-decade history in sponsoring Sunni Al-Qaeda affiliated terrorist groups around the world.
Wayne Madsen recently revealed how Taliban fighters were being imported from Afghanistan into Iraq to attack civilians and U.S. soldiers, as well as how Muqtada al-Sadr’s al-Mahdi Army was being allowed to import materials to make IEDs.
However, this is just one aspect of how the U.S. has used terrorist groups as pawns on the global chessboard, moving them around the globe in line with their geopolitical objectives.
As is voluminously documented, the U.S. first worked covertly with Osama Bin Laden and Al-Qaeda to fight the Soviets in Afghanistan from 1979-1989.
Following this, the Al-Qaeda pawns were moved on to Bosnia shortly after the outbreak of war in 1992 to fight against Bosnian Serbs who were subsequently the target of NATO air strikes.
Following the end of the war, “hundreds of Bosnian passports were provided to the mujahedeen by the Muslim-controlled government in Sarajevo,” according to Lenard Cohen, professor of political science at Simon Fraser University. This all happened with the approval of the United Nations and the United States, who had brokered the peace deal to end the war.
“They also set up secret terrorist training camps in Bosnia — activities financed by the sale of opium produced in Afghanistan and secretly shipped through Turkey and Kosovo into central Europe,” reports the National Post.
Shortly before the NATO bombing of Yugoslavia in 1999, the Sunni terrorist groups moved into Kosovo, Serbia’s southern province, to aid the Kosovo Liberation Army, the Albanian terrorist faction that was being supported by the U.S. and NATO in its terror campaign against Serbs in the region.
“The United States, which had originally trained the Afghan Arabs during the war in Afghanistan, supported them in Bosnia and then in Kosovo,” reports the Post.
With the help of Bin Laden’s terror network, backed up by the U.S. and NATO, no less than 90% of Serbians were “ethnically cleansed” and forced to leave the region, while the international media played its role dutifully in portraying the Albanians as the “victims” of Serbian aggression.
As Professor Michel Chossudovsky writes, “The fact of the matter is that the Atlantic Alliance had been supporting a terrorist organization. The KLA was not supporting the rights of ethnic Albanians. Quite the opposite. The activities of this terrorist organization on the ground, in Kosovo, provided NATO and the US with the pretext to intervene on humanitarian grounds, claiming that the Serb authorities had committed human rights violations against ethnic Albanians, when in fact the NATO sponsored KLA was involved in terrorist acts on behalf of NATO, which triggered a response from the Serb police and military.”
Barely weeks before 9/11, former members of Al-Qaeda who had subsequently joined the Kosovo Liberation Army were airlifted out of Macedonia by U.S. paratroopers.
As German sources reported, “Samedin Xhezairi, also known as Commander Hoxha, joined the Kosovo Liberation Army when armed conflict in Kosovo began, fighting in three operation zones. He was a fighter in Chechnya, trained in Afghanistan and acted as the commander of the Mujahideen 112th Brigade operating in the summer of 2001 in the region of Tetovo [Macedonia]. In August of the same year 80 members of the 3/502 battalion of U.S. paratroopers evacuated him from Aracinovo [Macedonia], together with his Albanian extremists and 17 instructors of the U.S. private military company MPRI which was training the Albanian paramilitary formations.”
“In other words, the US military was collaborating with Al Qaeda, which according to the Bush administration was involved in the attacks on the WTC and the Pentagon. Yet, the US military was working hand in glove with “enemy number one” barely a few weeks before 9/11, and we are led to believe that the Bush administration is committed to waging a battle against Al Qaeda,” wrote Chossudovsky.
Following the invasion of Afghanistan, MSNBC reported that in November 2001, hundreds of Taliban and Al-Qaeda fighters were rescued from Kunduz and flown out on Pakistani air force cargo planes. This could not have possibly happened without the approval of U.S. forces who had secured the region.
With the U.S. now attacking targets in Pakistan under the pretext of going after the Taliban, the lineage of how this situation developed, with the U.S. moving their pawns around the globe at the most opportune times, can be clearly traced.
All the more revealing therefore were the comments of Qari Zainuddin, a former Taliban leader who defected to the Pakistani government, alleging that the Taliban were senselessly attacking civilian targets and that they were working with U.S. and Israeli intelligence. A few days after he dropped this bombshell, Zainuddin was shot dead.
Meanwhile, in Iran, A senior member of the Jundullah terrorist group confessed in an Iranian court case to being trained and financed by the U.S. and Israel.
Jundullah is a Sunni Al-Qaeda offshoot organization that was formerly headed by alleged 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed.
In addition, the fingerprints of another U.S. sponsored terror group, Mujahedin Khalq Organization (MKO), which was formerly allied with Saddam Hussein in Iraq, have been found in the recent election unrest in Iran. In addition to supporting terror groups from Iraq, the Anglo-American establishment has also staged terror attacks, such as the February 2006 Samarra mosque bombing.
And if there aren’t enough terrorists in supply, why not just dress up and pretend to be them? That’s what two British SAS members did when they were caught dressed in Arab garb with fake beards, driving a car full of explosives while shooting at Iraqi police officers in Basra in September 2005.
After the SAS men were caught in the act and taken to jail, U.S. and British forces launched a rescue operation, blowing up half the prison and allowing 150 inmates to escape.
All over the Middle East and the Balkans, from Afghanistan, to Bosnia, to Serbia, to Pakistan, to Iraq and to Iran, the United States, through black budget programs, has funded and armed Sunni Al-Qaeda terrorist groups to destabilize and topple regimes targeted by the Anglo-American establishment.
This documented fact debunks the “war on terror” as a cruel hoax and exposes how current events in Afghanistan, Pakistan and Iran are being carefully orchestrated while the media sells the public on the belief that manufactured sock-puppet enemies, and not geopolitical domination and control of resources and the global drug trade, are why these wars are being fought, when in reality groups like Al-Qaeda and the Taliban are firmly in the pocket of the U.S. military-industrial complex.
Osama Bin Laden: Dead Or Alive? by David Ray Griffin is a crucially important and timely examination of the whole range of evidence bearing on the question, is Osama bin Laden still alive? The importance of this question for the present comes from the fact that the United States under its new president is escalating its offensive in Afghanistan and expanding the war into Pakistan, and has claimed that the “hunt for bin Laden” is one of its principal motivations for doing so. Either explicitly or implicitly, the US government and major media outlets such as The New York Times and Washington Post continue to assert that bin Laden is alive, hiding in the tribal territories on the “AfPak” border, posing an undiminished threat to US security.
In his gripping new book, Griffin strikes at the root of this pretext for war by closely examining all the evidence that has come out since September 11, 2001, either indicating that bin Laden is still alive or that he is in fact dead. His conclusion is that bin Laden is certainly dead, and that in all likelihood he died in very late 2001. Griffin shows that many US experts in counterterrorism and counterinsurgency came to this very same conclusion long ago, but their views, which do not support the continuation of what President Obama, borrowing the term from Dick Cheney, calls “the long war,” have received very little media attention. Were they to do so, one of the main props for the war regime would be undermined.
In Chapter 1, “Evidence that Osama bin Laden is Dead”, Griffin surveys in detail the many different indications published in the major media in late 2001 and early 2002 that bin Laden had been very ill and had died. These included a December, 2001 video in which he appeared to be at death’s door (as admitted by a Bush administration spokesperson), analyses by medical experts of the grave state of his health, the sudden and total cessation in December, 2001 of any surveillance intercepts of communications from him, and even reports of his funeral. In this early period, various high-level officials in the US and Pakistani governments, including Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld and President Pervez Musharraf, speculated that he was dead. By mid-2002 many experts had concluded that he was dead, including FBI counterterrorism official Dale Watson, President Hamid Karzai of Afghanistan, and Israeli intelligence officials. The conviction that he died in 2001 is held today by former intelligence operatives Robert Baer and Angelo Codevilla.
In Chapter 2, “Two Fake bin Laden Videos in 2001?”, Griffin shows that two videos which purportedly showed bin Laden taking credit for the attacks of 9/11 and thus established his guilt for them, were not only very conveniently timed for the Bush and Blair administrations’ legislative and military agendas, but also were highly suspect for other reasons. One of them was never actually released, but simply claimed by the Blair government. The other showed a bin Laden who did not physically resemble the genuine bin Laden of earlier videos, in which he in fact denied responsibility for the 9/11 attacks. Griffin presents strong arguments that both claimed videos were faked, suggests likely motivations behind such a risky undertaking, and cites the opinions of experts (including the FBI) who came to this conclusion long ago.
In Chapter 3, “Purported bin Laden Messages After 2001”, Griffin argues that if fake bin Laden videos were produced in this early period, when he was probably still alive, then there is even stronger reason to be suspicious of “bin Laden videos” or other claimed “messages” that were released later, after all communications intercepts from him had ceased and many experts had concluded that he was dead. Yet, in subsequent years, a long series of such dubious “bin Laden messages” were released. Griffin presents an exhaustive survey of 19 of these, from an “email message” of March, 2002 to the “bin Laden audiotape” of January 14, 2009. For each and every one, Griffin identifies key indications of fakery or strong reasons to be suspicious of its authenticity. In the course of the discussion of the messages, he establishes that the technical capability to fabricate fake messages of the different types already existed.
In Chapter 4, Griffin turns to the important question “Who Might Have Been Motivated To Fabricate Messages?” He shows that the US military in the run-up to the invasion of Iraq in 2003 employed a psychological operations unit to produce bogus evidence of a link between Saddam Hussein and Al Qaeda, as a pretext for the invasion. The psyops unit produced a “letter” from a Jordanian in Iraq, Abu Musab Al-Zarqawi, that was then “intercepted”, purportedly enroute to Al Qaeda leaders in Afghanistan. The psyop was advanced after the invasion by the New York Times reporter Dexter Filkins, who wrote front-page stories presenting the “evidence” as genuine. Journalists at other organizations, including Newsweek magazine and The Telegraph of London, however, thought it highly likely at the time that the letter was bogus. Griffin concludes that the target of the psychological operation was the US public. He asks, could something very similar have been going on with the “bin Laden messages”? Does the US government desire to expand its war operations anywhere, say into the precise places it claims bin Laden is still living in? Based on the evidence Griffin presents, there is no reason to assume that comparable psyops would not be utilized to achieve this goal.
In Chapter 5, “The Convenient Timing of Many of the Messages”, Griffin shows that another reason to suspect the inauthenticity of the “bin Laden messages” is that they frequently were released at key moments when they would benefit the Bush administration in the pursuit of particular objectives. In other words, the “messages” were almost always objectively detrimental to the enemies of the US, and beneficial to the Bush administration or the Blair government. Griffin lists 11 specific instances of this unusual characteristic of the “messages.”
